Serious Question- No Flaming, Just Answer If You Know
I don't know how many big name mages like Drannon, Ettin, Creatine, and so on read this blog, but I have a question about mages in pvp. I was reading drannon's blog a few minutes ago and someone commented with "i still think [name irrevelant] has best mage control ". What I want to know is, what exactly does that mean?
I have a mage and I have tried some pvping with it, but I find it's hard to target a person who is surrounded by other people. Obviously, it's very easy to target someone who is pink with the middle mouse wheel, but it's a lot more difficult to be the aggressor and have to ctrl + click someone. So is that what "best mage control" means?
Then again, how do mages kill one person in a crowd without accidentally hitting bystanders? So my real question is, do all the mages with respect and credability have such great control that they don't use modified lin.bin files or autolocking programs like Linex? I'm just putting it out there, please don't flame, just comment if you have the true answer.

Surprisely, I didn't take a single screenshot from my last post to now, so I have no pictures to post.
Just some news:
-I left PlayBoy because a lot of them joined KoGurYo, and I'm not ready to fight yet. Also a bunch of members left and joined other pledges because PlayBoy is so empty.
-I joined ElvenGlory, and yea, it is full of elves. I think the princess is looking for a war (not like K and Pride war, more like actually using the /war command), so if that ever happens, it would be fun.
I took a quick trip to FI to test elemental falldown + vampiric touch combo. I hunted the place past the drake/bb area with ettin and cyclops. The bugbears/trolls/harpies are easy with triple shot and vt, but the cyclops and ettin require falldown + vt to be killed faster. The experience wasn't better than 3xf in my short run, but if I go again and get used to it, it will probably be better experience. FI is always fun nonetheless.
My rabbits are still level 30 but one is 33 now. I don't expect to start seriously training them again for another month.

u do know that right click alternates the names of ppl overlappled / hard to click on right??
and i believe if u left click on a target and have cntrl x on and move ur mouse w/o letting go of ur mouse click, it will sorta have the named locked as long as u dont move urself n then just blast away o.O
Yea I do know but it would be slow to rightclick/middle click every cast. Also you might rightclick and end up on someone else name and accidentally hit him.
You jus gotta have skilzz :D
Control for mages is determined through multiple ways
How well they target and how quickly they do multiple spells is one.
Knowing what spells to use against certain people.
Being able to control mana during fights so that you dont have to spam ally our mana go regen for 15mins and come back.
Being able to control your hp while being hit and still casting spells.
And Kancho(When K2soko was using it not Macks), was able to show most of these by coi canceling, cancel coi cancel next coi almost instantly.
Those are the basic ones as well as staying alive etc. other thigns that are more common sense.
As for your difficulty keeping target lock on, there are several tricks that people use. The easiest trick without modifying your client is to hold ctrl+tab at same time it locks down your target. Not sure if this still works but it did when i played.

And out of those three mages taht you named.
I wouldn't consider Creatine an amazing mage.
Drannon and Ettin I would consider good because before immune and ab and that stuff they kept their HP up by healing at the same time as fighting rather then mashing ojs compared to creatine who pumped ojs.
Creatine become strong when he started gaining those amazing items but before then his mage skills werent amazing.
Some of the other good amges was I believe MISSVamp and Cryster is decent on mage as well forgot his mages name. Spluttermage was good using a good combination of ojs and heals efficently. There's probably other people but hard to remember.

sup ace...ya i know how u feel i tend to fck up canceling my own pledge at fights (tayntedsoul can testify ive cancelled him alot lol!) but basicly from what ive learned is whent he guy is pink taht is pretty strait forward...cant really miss, just highlight his name, then DONT move mouse and just click away and he shud stay targeted...
as for agressive in packs...when people swing their body moves and that is when ur missing...try to hold the cursor to the player's head...thats the ezest spot...another rule of thumb is if there is a cell to the direct right left top or bottom that is empty (no player), aim to the opposite side, example:
allie = X
enemy = 0
mage casting target = M

using ctrl - x, cheat the mouse towards the M, minimizing the chance that it will change targets when he swings and his body moves out of the way
af he is surrounded, its EXTREMELY hard however the sides tend to be easier for myself...try to cast when your allie ISNT swinging, cheat towards your allie who isnt swinging so hopefully it should still be close to the enemy
in multiple fights close together...you can get some stunlock

assuming your enemies are smart and the right three are hitting the small x, x will be stun locked...however assumiong YOUR team is smart and hitting the small o, he should be as well...through all of the clears your best shot is in between two stun locked players...also the arrow is pointing in between the top 0 and the small o, if two enemies are next to eachother, aim in between, that way if u miss, ull hit SOMEONE at least
